There was great outcry by many on the right after a grassroots bid succeeded in nominating Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez as top contender for replacing Andrew Jackson on the Twenty Dollar Bill. The results came as a surprise even to the organizers of the campaign.
"We didn't expect the incredible showing of support" says Cindy Sandles, head of the campaign. "But once the internet got involved, word started to spread like wildfire and volunteers poured in!"
Apparently Sandles first had the idea for the face change after the failed bid to replace Jackson's image with Harriet Tubman. "I feel the image of Jackson on the bill is deeply offensive, that's why when I realized it wasn't going to be changed, i decided to do it myself.
Sandles founded the group "Change the Face" in 2015 and went on to hold an open poll to determine who's face should be on the bill. "Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez won by a huge margin, people where so enthusiastic about her!"
But many on the right where outraged. "This is beyond anything we've seen from the left before" Senator Squelch Scrubtuff told the Daily Q, "The audacity to replace a great Imperialist hero with a damn socialist, it's absolutely treasonous!"
The move has been highly polarizing but appears to be gaining traction as more and more high profile supporters emerge. Daily Q will continue to follow this story as it unfolds.
Its amazing that the socialists would go through the trouble, considering they want us all to abolish money and live in caves!
