The United States military unveiled the latest eco friendly weapon in it's future arsenal: A carbon neutral Inter-continental ballistic missile, complete with a friendly green hull and smiley face to reassure you that, despite almost mutually assured destruction, at least you are doing your part to save the environment!
The initiative is part of a new military effort to combat global warming as a serious military threat. Critics point out that the U.S. military does the most damage to nature of any organization on the planet, army spokes people countered with "At least if we destroy the world, we did it for freedom!"
Mainstream environmental groups were skeptical of the move. Environmentalist celebrity Bill McKibben told Daily Q "This is just another greenwashing move made by one of the most destructive industries to cover up their rampant abuse of nature. It's a bit like gas companies with green leaf logo's or those sunny open field pictures on factory farmed meat. It's a lie. Where talking about a ballistic missile here. You can't save the environment by blowing it up.
Only Army official responded "Are you sure? We haven't even finished trying yet!" Daily Q will keep you posted.
