The religious world is in turmoil today after a major announcement by the Roman Catholic Pope Francis in which he revealed his secret life as an Atheist. The announcement was greeted with great horror by the majority of Catholics, however a small but vocal minority joined the Pope in denouncing their own religion and declaring lack of belief in god.
The dominoes continued to fall as one by one the major leaders of the world religions denounced their own faiths, starting with the Dali Llama, then the head of the Church of England, the Mormon Church and a major sect of Hinduism all within the first six hours. By the end of the day religion as an institution on planet earth had all but ended.
The world was split by the sudden and unexpected collapse of all major religions, massive crowds gathered in major cities across the world cheering the vanquishing of humanities "Worst Enemy". Others gathered at now shuttered churches and temples, dressed in black, they held an honorary funeral for their shattered faiths.
