The music world was perplexed this week when a scandal ridden R. Kelly released sample tracks from his new album, "Baby, I didn't do it" which appeared to be entirely comprised of samples of the R&B singer's angry tearful rants.
The singer announced the album from jail where he awaits trail for multiple charges of sexual misconduct involving children. Many called his new album a diversion from the horrific charges against him, which left the music world reeling and his career in shambles.
One track, "Why would I do that?" even credited Journalist Gayle King as a contributor and appeared to feature real samples from the 2019 interview where R. Kelly denied all charges in an angry tearful interview with King.
Record labels and distributors alike agreed to boycott the album as the backlash for Kelly's actions continues and he awaits trial. Daily Q will continue to follow this shocking story.
