In an inter-planetary press conference late last night, the President of Mars issued a harsh ultimatum on the controversial "Elvis Clone Baby" hostage standoff, calling for an immediate withdrawal of Earths flying saucer fleet from Martian space.
The standoff has been underway since late last year, when controversial scientist Scar Mutation fled Earth for the Martian empire with his Elvis clone baby experiment after a court ruled it illegal. The Martians were eager for the scientific knowledge and so gave Dr. Mutation safe haven to continue his experiments.
"Using a combination of time travel and kirlian photography the Dr. was able to obtain Elvis's Genetics and begin the cloning processes" says Dr. Petri Distillit. "It was very controversial, eventually the board of ethics ruled it was illegal. You can't just clone the king"
Authorities on earth have remained steadfast in their commitment to both maintaining flying saucer presence around the red planet as well as bring home baby Elvis. Head of the mission task force assured Daily Q that "this will all be over soon" and called the young man "A very brave hero"
