The political world was left reeling today when a ghostly apparition of the former world famous hip hop legend Tupac Shakur announced his intentions to seek the nomination for President of the United States.
Speaking to cheering crowds, Tupac called for a political revolution in American and the Democratic party, laying out a series of policy proposals well to the left of Bernie Sanders.
"We need universal healthcare, public education and a green new deal" Tupac told supporters. "The greedy billionaire class has gone far enough! We need to tax the rich and use the money to fix this country!"
He went on to call for renaming the White House "Thugz Mansion" and permanently opening the southern boarder in his "I Ain't Mad At Cha" immigration policy. The rapper also plugged his new album being produced in the spirit world called "Ambitionz Az A Phantom", set to be released later this spring.
Response to the announcement was massive, in less than twenty four hours Shakur's campaign has received 10 million dollars in small donations, shattering all previous records. Daily Q will continue to follow this important campaign with great interest.
