Gang of Street Hardened Self Driving Cars Robs American Tourists in Copenhagen

By Lana Piranha

In a rash of street crime, authorities in Copenhagen Denmark are on the lookout for a gang of rogue self driving cars which apparently robbed several groups of American tourists over the last week.  The unprecedented crimes come after a glut of the self driving cars left many unemployed, roaming the streets searching for Uber fairs or simply waiting to be stolen or impounded in hopes for a better life, others, however turned to a life of crime.

The streak of muggings made headlines in the UK and across the world, gaining international attention.  Many pointed to the dangers of automation and how the increase of production will lead to a class of unemployed robots, effectively living lives of crime on the streets.

"One of the ways we have considered combating this" says Stanley Startup, a tech entrepreneur and futurist, "is to implement a robot basic income, that is, we give every robot $1000 dollars a month of electricity, gas whatever it is they need, that way we negate the effects of overproduction."

Many in the tech world and the left applauded the move, however many on the right where deeply skeptical.  "This is just robot socialism"  said Republican Senator Squelch Scrubtuff, "it's an attempt to give entitlements to lazy machine who can't find jobs and live in their parents garages."

The debate continues, Daily Q will keep you updated on this important story.
