In a press conference today, Space X CEO Elon Musk announced an ambitions plan to shoot a fully furnished luxury mansion in to space in 2020. According to experts, Space X has been developing the capability to shoot a house into space on one of its rockets for a few years, only recently has progress been made.
"We think this is the best way to forward our collective goals as a species" Says Musk. "For millions of years people have looked up at the stars and dreamed of traveling among them, now with modern technology we have realized the dream of a rich entrepreneur frivolously shooting luxury items into space. Its really stunning how far we've come."
But the move was not without its detractors, including many civil rights advocates and environmentalists. "It's insane" Say Gilda Granola, author and animal rights activist, "It wont even be habitable, its just going to float in orbit until we have to deal with it later down the line. Its also a huge waste of money people could use here on earth."
But Musk is undaunted by the criticism, according to him, his detractors are a bunch of "Wet blanket snow flakes who don't understand the value of hard working billionaires and entrepreneurial success."
