The medical world was stunned today when Dr. of Psychology Deepak Chopra announced a revolutionary new Third Eye Laser Corrective Surgery treatment for the spiritually blind. The treatment apparently involves focusing various frequencies of laser light on the subject's "Third Eye" located in the middle of the forehead with the hopes of clearing energetic blockages and opening up perception of higher realms and energies.
According to Chopra "The whole process, itself, is truly an expression of universal love. The quantum vibrations change the way the energy moves through your body, and this open up the spiritual pathways which are usually blocked in most western minded people. The key, is to realize nothing we see or taste or touch, has any more reality to it than the things we believe. Once you have fully understood this, then you can be free of worldly bonds."
The therapy makes use of a controversial theory about the Pineal Gland located in the center of the brain. According to Chopra "The Pineal Gland is the center of psychic life and the mind body connection. So many of the things we do in western society cause this gland to calcify and shrink, with this laser surgery we can break up the calcification and let the gland grow back to its normal size."
Detractors of the theory also made statements, claiming that there is actually no evidence of "Pineal Calcification" and that the whole thing is just a fraud based on one widely refuted study. There are good people on both sides of the argument.
