Audiences where confused yesterday when a newly released trailer for Clint Eastwood's Vietnam War movie "Jungle Thunder" appeared to show Napoleon Bonaparte and his grand army fighting along side the Vietcong with musket and cannon.
"Someone must have told him the French were in Vietnam" says one of the films assistant producers, "He's getting a bit old and confused". Apparently by the time anyone realized the mistake, it was to late, the script was finished, costumes created and actors hired. "In the end, the studio just decided to go with it. It certainly is original."
Despite the historical liberties, the trailer had massive positive reception, some calling it "Visionary" or "Groundbreaking". Eastwood did not immediately comment but in an interview late yesterday he seemed confused about the attention and unaware he was doing anything but making a cut and dry Vietnam War movie.
