In a surprise move yesterday, Top GOP officials announced a plan to run a cloned version of former President Reagan against Trump in the 2020 primary. The move comes as a shock to Trump loyalist who are calling the move "Divisive" and "Unpatriotic"
The little known "Presidential Cloning Program" (PCP) was active from 1968-1982 and captured DNA from presidents Nixon, Carter and Reagan before creating a series of cloned copies. These clones were stored on ice in case of an emergency such as the one happening today.
According to GOP insiders, the decision was made last week in a DC area smoke filled room, according to the leaker, top GOP officials were present and OK'd the decision. "This is coming from the top" he says. "It's a Coup against the popular will of the people".
Clone Reagan gave his first speech last night announcing an exploratory committee to run for President. Reactions were mixed and one CNN poll showed Clone Reagan only polling at 3% among registered Republicans. "They can't do this" Says one die hard Trump supporter. "We were going to make America great again, but now they want to Make Great Already America Once Great to Make Once America Great Again (MGAAOGMOAG). I'ts gone to far." According to our information, Clone Reagan himself is responsible for the modified "MAGA" slogan, stating "I don't really have any idea what i'm doing!"
