Bono Launches "Cure the Privilege" Tour to Raise Money for Afluenza Research

By Xander Schemander

This week U2 star and celebrity personality Bono made entertainment news when he announced his new "Cure the Privilege"  solo world tour.  The tour aims to raise money for medical research aimed at finding a cure for the deadly disease Afluenza.

The six month tour is set to raise over 20 million dollars for the research, but some are calling it hypocritical to throw so much money at research for a disease whos main defining component is having to much money.

But Bono hit back at critics, admitting in an emotional interview that he himself suffers from the disease.  "Its debilitating" the entertainer said "You just don't know when or wear it will strike.  Sometimes, your just walking along, minding your business when suddenly the overwhelming need for a pumpkin spice latte hits you...and its the middle of August, and for that moment, you might do anything...anything it takes to get that latte.  It's a terrifying feeling."

Despite the criticism, it appears the tour will go forward, with Bono scheduled to land in Copenhagen on the 23 of April.  Daily Q will follow this story as it unfolds.
