The Democratic Presidential Race was once again joined by Former Representative Beto O'Rourke who announced his candidacy yesterday. The announcement however was overshadowed by a nearby spectacle as a large crowd gathered around a small dog dressed in a tiny suit coat and top hat.
Beto struggled to regain the crowds attention as hundreds flocked to watch the tiny dog's antics. After a few minutes the dejected presidential hopeful left the stage and joined the crowd as the dog backflipped and barked on command.
"So cute! And definitely not running for President!" one attendee said. "Also won't make you false promises, doggo only borks! Bork cannot lie!" Apparently O'Rourke was unphased by the failure, even reportedly considering trying to bring the dog into the campaign.
"Its really a step up in rhetoric and charisma." Says O'Rourke, speaking to Daily Q's own Lana Piranha. "You just don't find that kind of opportunity every day, its as rare as...well..a dog in a top hat and tiny vest."
The 2020 Democratic Primary continues to heat up, Daily Q will continue to bring you the latest updates from the political trenches.
