There was chaos in the world today when news reached earth that the Galactic Alien Senate passed a resolution to demolish earth in order to make way for a massive boarder wall through space. Apparently meant to keep out an extra terrestrial threat, the move was controversial even among Galactic Senators, many of whom pointed out the lack of representation by humans on the council.
"It's just undemocratic" says Zanthix Durkziggle, a prominent liberal Senator from Planet Q, "The very foundations of our interstellar constitution are being eroded away by this call for galactic security."
But others on the right were vocal about their support for the wall. "We need to keep out Gargenoxians." said Fleggian Nurgix, a conservative senator, "They are bringing Barglemungles, they have Zoobleboque and even some of them are Cobbleblogguvers! And some of them, I assume, are good people."
The solution, according to the conservatives, is a "Big beautiful space wall to keep out the Gargenoxians." Detractors were quick to point out however that in space you can simply float over or under the wall, making it useless for stopping illegal boarder crossings.
Humanity stands by on the side lines watching the debate unfold. How will our fate land? Daily Q will keep you posted as a bunch of Galactic trust fund kids decide the fate of the planet .
